The Military Man & The Hippie Love Child

Marshal and Amber were no strangers to marriage. They both had previous marriages and life experiences that led them to the true love that they found with each other. Wisdom, growth, maturity, time and healing came from these experiences. Marshal and Amber both have 2 children, around the same ages, from their first marriages and I have to say that I have never met kids so sincerely happy and excited for their parents to remarry. The two separate families became one family with a marriage ceremony and a sand tradition. I had the honor of officiating this union and enjoyed the process of getting to know Amber and Marshal.

Amber wore flowers, ribbons and pearls in her hair. Her beautiful dress was light and airy with sheer flowers. The kids wore coral colors and Marshal was handsome in white linen. It was an intimate affair with immediate family only and was incredibly special. It was so easy to see just how very much in love Amber and Marshal were. In my ceremony script, I wrote, "A military man and a hippie child as best friends and lovers – it’s truly ideal. It works because you have respect and admiration for each other and open minds. "

It was a beautiful ceremony, orchestrated by wedding planner, Margoth Flores, and photos by Javier Castaneda. This family will go far, I have no doubt. They were so kind and even bought me a present! This has never happened to me before! And now I have an insulated cup that says "Best Officiant Ever" on one side and on the other, "Thank you for being a part of our special day and marrying us!" I love it! Thank you for being so thoughtful, Amber and Marshal. I hope to see you again some day!

"Stephanie clearly spent time preparing and set up a video conference to really get to know us one-on-one before our bid day! It was far from a generic, copy-n-paste ceremony - it was 100% authentic to who we really are; we can't imagine anyone else performing our ceremony and sharing in our day of love!!
